The order generates its own labels and drops them on the manufacturer's SFTP.

A fashion retailer gets the matching inside labels and hangtags as PDFs out of every order, delivered to the producer instead of sent after by hand.

Industry: Fashion retail / textiles

The problem

A fashion retailer orders its goods from the producer. Every garment has a label inside with size and material, and by the time it goes on sale there's another one hanging on it with the price and the rest. So, several labels per order line. The retailer designs the labels itself, in variants for DE, FR, CH, RU and other countries. Until now, someone checked after every order which labels the producer needed for it and sent them along manually.

The solution

  1. The order goes from the ERP to the producer as before, as XML or print.
  2. In parallel, Lasernet takes the same order and builds the labels from it: inside labels and hangtags, several per order line, matched to country and collection.
  3. Every single label becomes its own PDF.
  4. The label PDFs go via SFTP to the manufacturer's server. The manufacturer takes them into production.

What it delivered

For every order, the manufacturer has the matching labels sitting right on the SFTP, by country and collection. Nobody sends labels after the fact by hand anymore.
